Ingredents Steamed Fish with Green Masala Recipe:

  • Pomfret Streak (500 grams )
  • Salt (1/2 tsp )
  • Green Chilies (3 chopped)
  • Garlic (3 cloves chopped )
  • Ginger (1 tsp minced )
  • Coriander Leaves (1 cup fresh )
  • Mints Leave (1/2 cup chopped )
  • Coconut (1 cup grated )
  • Cumin Seeds (1 tsp )
  • Lemon Juice (1 lemon )
  • Sugar (2 tsp )
  • Sea Salt (1 tsp)
  • Banana Leaf (1 (cut into 8 large squares))

Instructions to make Steamed Fish with Green Masala Recipe:

Step #1

Season the fish with salt and keep it aside. Grind chillies, garlic, ginger, coriander, mint leaves, coconut, cumin seeds, sea salt, sugar and lemon juice with a little bit of water until you get a smooth thick paste. Adjust the seasoning as required.

Step #2

Coat the seasoned fish with the green paste. Make sure that the masala coating on the fish isn't very thick. Marinate for about 10 minutes. Soften the banana leaves slightly by running them over flame. Brush the inside of the leaves with a little oil.

Step #3

Unwrap the parcels and serve hot with lemon wedges and coconut or ghee rice. RECIPE NOTES
